San Marcos, Texas
One evening.
A whole city
showing up.
Giving Hope 2026 is an annual Christmas event for San Marcos families, providing groceries, blankets, toys, a Bible, and the gift and message of Jesus.
Rows of tables, red shirts, poinsettias, and neighbors who came to be served.
From a past Giving Hope
What every family takes home
Groceries
Real food for the holiday table, sent home with every family.
Blankets
Something warm for the cold nights of a Texas winter.
Toys
Every child leaves with a gift that is theirs.
A Bible
A copy to keep, read, and share at home.
The message of Jesus
The reason for all of it, shared with love and without pressure.
Why we do this
Hope is something you hand to a person.
Giving Hope began with a simple idea: the holidays should not feel heavy for any family in our town. Volunteers from across San Marcos gather every Christmas season to serve a meal, load up groceries, and give each person a gift.
Everything we give is offered freely, with respect, and with the gift and message of Jesus at the center.
